Mayor of London's Safer Park GOLD Award
Albert Road Rec has been awarded gold status in the Mayor of London's Safer Park Awards.

Albert Road Rec win safety award
The awards are presented to Friends of Parks groups who have worked in partnership with councils and the police to target anti-social behaviour and revitalise local parks.

Cllr Dilek Dogus, Cabinet Member for Adults and Community Services, said: "Haringey parks are among the best in London.
"These awards are a wonderful endorsement for the hard work which so many people put in to make our parks such great places." |

Peter Droussiotis, Chair of FARRG, together with Robby Sukhdeo, Event Co-ordinator of FARRG, collected the award at the ceremony at City Hall on the 13th May and said:
“We are delighted that our efforts to transform Albert Road Recreation Ground into a safe community hub and a first class recreational facility have been recognised with the gold award for safety from the Mayor of London. Our partnership with Robby Sukhdeo and Pavilion Tennis, Haringey Council, local schools and the police has been a remarkable example of what can be achieved when communities pull together and work for the common good.” |
